It records your whole screen, one window or a single tab, with your microphone and the tab's or system's sound. A webcam bubble floats above your windows. Your videos are saved on your computer, not on someone else's server. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your recordings never leave your computer. Bobbin has no analytics and no trackers. The only network request it makes is to check a Pro license key with our payment provider, and only if you enter one. The Get Pro buttons simply open Dodo's checkout page in a new tab. PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED • Storage and unlimited storage: save your recordings on your own computer while you record. • Alarms: re-check a Pro license key once a day. That's all. Bobbin asks for no access to websites, so it cannot read your browsing history or the content of the pages you visit. TIPS • To capture a tab's sound, choose that tab in Chrome's share picker and turn on "Also share tab audio". • Whole-screen system audio depends on your operating system (Windows and ChromeOS support it). On macOS, share a tab to capture its sound. • The webcam bubble shows in screen and window recordings. It is not included when you record a single tab. • MP4 codec depends on your system: usually H.264/AAC on Windows and Mac; on Linux, H.264 video with Opus audio.
