Overview

This extension fetches the merge requests associated to a redmine issue from a given git server. Only GitLab is supported.

**Note: This extension is not associated with GitLab Inc. Currently, only GitLab is supported as a source for merge requests.** This extension provides information and quick actions for merge requests associated with a Redmine ticket. Prerequisites: merge requests must have the redmine issue ID in the title to be fetched It looks through the user's configured groups for merge requests with the Redmine issue ID in their title, then displays the merge requests in the issue just before the "Related issues" section. The following information can be displayed in the MR table: - Project - ID - State - Title - Author - Merged at (date) - Target (branch) - Number of days open (up to Merged) - Approvers list - Artifact/package download links The information is displayed at page loading, with some cache capabilities to avoid putting unnecessary load on the source host. Only trackers of type Task, User Story, Bug, Spike, and Vulnerability. Also, only redmine statuses not "new", "product backlog" or "sprint backlog" are checked for the same reason. Merge status is also displayed in agile boards, optionally. Additional capabilities: - Configurable MR table columns (show/hide per column in settings) - Cached MR retrieval with TTL to reduce GitLab API calls - Cached group loading and in-list filtering in settings - Auto-fetch toggles for issue pages and agile boards ## Configurable settings - Host URL: the URL to your GitLab host, without trailing slash. Default: <https://gitlab.com> - Access token: your private access token taken from GitLab, with the "read_api" permission. Use this link to access the GitLab page. - Number of days to go back: for performance reasons, the extension doesn't search for all existing merge requests. Use this field to set the number of days you wish to search back to. Default: 30. - Auto fetch (separate option for Issuers and Boards): if checked, the extension will automatically fetch merge requests when the page is loaded. If unchecked, you will need to click on "Fetch Merge Requests" to get the list. For Agile Board, if unchecked, nothing will be fetched. - Groups: click on "Load Groups", then select the group(s) you want to search merge requests in. A group usually contains multiple repos. It is not currently possible to look in a specific repo. - MR Table Columns: choose which columns are visible on issue pages (including Download and Approvers). ## Tested with - Firefox - Chrome - Edge - Redmine 4.1.1 - GitLab Cloud **Currently supported platforms:** GitLab only ## Upgrade note (v1.3.0) If you update from older versions, reinstall the extension once to apply updated manifest URL matches used by the package retrieval feature. # Changelog All notable changes to the Merge Requests in Redmine extension will be documented in this file.
