Merchant Profit Auditor
Overview
Reconcile Shopify orders, payment fees and payouts. Estimate profit with your costs, using local CSVs or direct store sync.
Merchant Profit Auditor compares order totals with payment transactions and payout records. Review differences, refunds and fees, then estimate order profit using your own costs. Import CSV files or connect your Shopify store Import CSV files for orders, balance transactions and SKU costs. Check the column mapping before saving each dataset. For direct sync, use an Admin API access token from your own installed Shopify app to read orders and Shopify Payments records from the store you approve. CSV auditing runs locally without a server. You can try fictional demo data or download sample CSVs before importing your store data. Review orders and payments - Match orders with charges and refunds, including split payments. - Inspect differences between order totals and recorded transactions. - Review fee and net-amount discrepancies against your chosen rules. - See unpaid payout statuses, unlinked transactions and payout groups. - Search and filter orders by date, amount differences, missing transactions, pending payouts, estimated losses or missing costs. Set costs for profit estimates - Import unit costs by SKU or enter default product costs. - Set shipping costs and advertising assumptions. - Override costs and retained tax for individual orders. - Keep unknown inputs visible rather than treating them as zero. - Keep currencies separate without inventing exchange rates. Store and export data locally Financial records and rules are stored locally in your browser. Optional Shopify sync contacts only the store you approve and performs read queries. API tokens stay in browser-session storage and are excluded from reports and backups. There is no analytics, advertising or developer server. Export a filtered CSV, print a report, download a local backup or clear the workspace. Requirements for Shopify connection You need access to your own Shopify store and an installed app with read_orders, read_shopify_payments_accounts and read_shopify_payments_payouts access. Shopify Payments must be active. You must supply your own token. This release has no one-click public Shopify installation. Additional approved read_all_orders access is needed for orders outside Shopify's standard order-history access window. Tokens may expire or be revoked and must then be replaced. Sync selects orders by their creation date, in UTC, and reads their available payment history through the time of sync. This includes later refunds. The audit shows the current state of those orders and cannot recreate a bank statement as of the selected end date. Profit estimates depend on complete records and the costs you enter. They do not include all overheads or income tax. The extension does not access your bank account, certify accounting accuracy or monitor in the background. A fee difference requires review and does not establish overcharging. Merchant Profit Auditor is independent and is not affiliated with Shopify.
