Let’s be honest: applying for jobs is stressful enough. Keeping track of every single application, company name, and job link in a giant spreadsheet just makes the process worse. That’s exactly why we built the MenteCo Application Tracker. If you are a MenteCo mentee, this extension is about to save you a ton of time. Instead of constantly switching tabs to copy and paste information, you can log your job applications right from the job board. Currently, it works on the two platforms where you probably spend the most time: LinkedIn and Naukri. Here is what it looks like in action: Imagine you are scrolling through LinkedIn and find a great role you want to apply for. 1. Open the job posting. 2. Click the "M" button: You’ll notice a small, floating "M" button in the bottom corner of your screen. Give it a click. 3. Let it auto-fill: The extension does the heavy lifting for you. It automatically grabs the job title, company name, location, and the link to the post. 4. Add your details: Pick which MenteCo cohort you are in, jot down any quick notes (like "reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn"), and hit save. 5. You're done! The application is instantly synced to your MenteCo dashboard. We save the job description text for you so you always have it for reference. • Keep your mentor in the loop: Because everything syncs directly to your MenteCo account, your mentor can see exactly where you are applying. They can offer targeted advice and track your progress without you having to send them manual updates. • It stays out of your way: The tracker only shows up when you are actually looking at a job post. No annoying pop-ups when you are just trying to read your feed. A few quick things to note before you install: • Account Required: You must have an active MenteCo account to use this tool. You'll log in using your registered email and a quick one-time code (OTP). • Double-check the details: Job boards change their website layouts all the time. While our auto-fill is pretty smart, always give the form a quick glance before hitting save to make sure everything was captured correctly.
