Memory Story Helper
Overview
Sends active tab URL/title to the Memory Story Mac app (local only).
Memory Story Helper is the companion browser extension for Memory Story, a local-first Mac app that explains what is using your Mac's memory in plain language. On its own, Memory Story can only see the browser tab you are actively looking at through macOS Automation permission. This extension closes that gap by telling Memory Story which tab is active and what its title is, including tabs in background windows, so a memory spike in a browser can be labeled by website instead of just Browser. What it does: sends the active tab's URL, page title, and window ID to http://127.0.0.1:18765 whenever you switch tabs or a page finishes loading. That address is a small server Memory Story runs on the same Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere else. This extension does nothing by itself. If Memory Story is not running, it has nowhere to send anything and simply does nothing. Privacy: no analytics, no third-party requests, no account, and no tracking across sites.
