Sentinel

Rates the site you are on: reputation and security checks in one safety score. No account, no collecting data. Just free.

Sentinel is a browser extension that rates the security and reputation of the website you are on. It doesn't require an account, neither it stores data. Built for speed, privacy and security. Every website gets a safety score from 0 to 100, shown on a label you already know how to read: the EU energy label. The score combines two ratings: • Reputation: what is known about the website. Public phishing and malware lists, security DNS filters, domain age, how long it has been on the web, how popular it is and how the page behaves: fake brand login pages, borrowed logos, pressure language and lookalike addresses such as "paypa1.com". • Security: how well the site protects you. HTTPS, security headers cookie protection, insecure forms, DNSSEC and email authentication, outdated server software. Every point lost is thoroughly explained in the Details Tab. PROTECTS YOU WHILE YOU BROWSE • A small tab on the edge of every page shows the site's score. Click it for the verdict, or drag it out of the way. • Sites scoring under 50 get a warning before entering the page to protect the user. • Dangerous sites (grade G) are covered by a full-page warning before you can type a password or card number, with a button to go to the real site when a brand is being imitated. • Optionally, show the verdict for a few seconds on every site you open. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no tracking, no analytics, no ads. • Threat lists are downloaded whole and matched on your device. • Online checks send only the bare domain name, never the full link, your cookies or the page content. You can switch them off. • Results live in memory and disappear when you close the browser. • Optional: add a free VirusTotal key for ratings from 90+ security vendors. 11 LANGUAGES English, Română, 中文, हिन्दी, Español, Français, ةيبرعلا, Русский, Português, Deutsch and 日本語. Pick yours with one click in Settings. Two looks to choose from: Material You, tinted by the site's score, or the classic printed energy label. Light and dark mode. Sentinel is free. A good score is not a guarantee: always check the address before entering passwords or payment details.
