Mellowpane replaces your New Tab page with a collection of ambient scenes for your screen. Browse the artwork, save favorites in My Spaces, and enter a full-window or fullscreen view when you want to settle into a scene. Explore 44 bundled scenes across pixel art, nature, cozy interiors, science fiction, and abstract atmospheres. The collection combines original generated artwork, licensed photography, and procedural visuals. Selected scenes add subtle water reflections, steam, rain, embers, starlight, or abstract motion; the remaining scenes are still artwork. Features: - A dedicated New Tab page with a browsable scene collection. - Favorites saved on your device in My Spaces. - An immersive view with keyboard-accessible controls and fullscreen where supported. - Optional locally generated ambient sound, off until you turn it on. - Visual motion that follows your system’s reduced-motion setting. - Artwork and application code bundled for offline use. Mellowpane does not require an account. It has no tracking SDKs, advertisements, subscriptions, or remote executable code. It asks only for the storage permission to remember favorite scenes and your last selection on this device. Preferences do not sync between devices. Mellowpane changes the New Tab page when installed. It does not modify your browser’s search engine or read other websites. Remove it from Chrome’s Extensions page to restore your previous New Tab experience.
