Overview

YouTube music player with search, personalized recommendations and native browser controls.

Meld — Music Player turns Chrome's popup and Side Panel into a focused music player powered by the YouTube catalog. Search, start playback and control your queue without opening or navigating service tabs. Meld learns from tracks you save and play to build private, personalized recommendations. Listening history, favorites, preferences and taste signals stay in Chrome's local extension storage. Key features: - Search and play music directly inside the extension - Persistent playback after the popup is closed - Play, pause, previous, next, seek and volume controls - Native Chrome media controls and keyboard shortcuts - Personalized recommendations based on saved and recently played tracks - Saved library and listening history stored locally - Lyrics on demand through LRCLIB - Compact popup and persistent Side Panel layouts - Sleep timer, dark mode and reduced-motion support - No ads, analytics, passwords or service-tab redirects
