MeetScribe records your online meetings and turns them into timestamped transcripts, free and entirely on your own computer. How it works: 1. Join your meeting in a Chrome tab 2. Click the MeetScribe button and press Start 3. Press Stop when you're done, and your recording opens in your library 4. Click Transcribe to get the full text with timestamps What you get: • The meeting audio and your own voice, recorded together • Accurate transcription using the open-source Whisper speech model • Timestamps you can click to jump to that moment in the recording • Transcripts you can copy or download as a text file • Audio you can download and keep • Support for many languages • Crash protection: audio is saved every few seconds while recording Private by design: your recordings and transcripts never leave your computer. Transcription happens on your device, not in the cloud. There is no account and no tracking. Free: no subscription and no time limits. The speech model downloads once, the first time you transcribe, and after that it works offline. Tip: wear headphones for the clearest recording of your own voice.
