MeetScribe AI records your Zoom and Google Meet calls and turns them into clean, speaker-labelled transcripts — all locally in your browser. No account, no uploads, no server. ── WHAT IT DOES ── • Record the whole call — Captures the meeting tab's video and audio (every participant, plus any screenshare) into a single downloadable .webm file. • Speaker-named transcripts on Google Meet — Reads Meet's live captions so every line is labelled with who said it, for all participants. Just turn on captions (CC). • Live transcript for Zoom and other calls — Falls back to on-device speech recognition from your microphone so you still get a running transcript. • AI noise cancellation — Your microphone is cleaned with Chrome's built-in noise suppression, plus an optional RNNoise neural model for stronger, voice-preserving background-noise removal. • One-click downloads — Save the recording (.webm) and the transcript (.txt, with speaker names and timestamps) when you finish. Copy the transcript to your clipboard anytime. • Stays out of your way — The recorder window minimizes itself when recording starts and restores when you stop. ── PRIVACY FIRST ── Everything runs on your device. Recordings and transcripts are never sent to any external server, and files are only saved when you choose to download them. ── HOW TO USE ── 1. Pin the extension and join your Zoom or Google Meet call. 2. Click the icon → Open recorder → Start recording. 3. In the share dialog, pick the meeting TAB and tick "Share tab audio." 4. On Google Meet, turn on captions (CC) for speaker names. 5. Click Stop when done, then download your recording and transcript. ── PLEASE NOTE ── Record responsibly: always tell participants they're being recorded and follow the consent laws that apply where you and they are located. Speaker names require Google Meet captions; Zoom uses a microphone-based transcript.
