MeetMate is an in-meeting reply assistant. While you're on a live Google Meet or Zoom Web Client call, it reads the on-screen captions and quietly drops a single short response into a sidebar — ready for you to read aloud, edit in your own voice, or ignore. Built for moments when a five-second pause costs you something: technical interviews, sales objection handling, cross-language standups, and any conversation where you want a beat to think before you speak. HOW IT WORKS - Open a meeting on meet.google.com or app.zoom.us. - Enable closed captions (MeetMate auto-enables on Meet). - When another participant pauses, MeetMate sends the latest line plus the rolling transcript to its language model and shows one short reply suggestion underneath that utterance in the sidebar. DESIGNED TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY - One reply at a time, under 25 words. No lists to scan during the call. - Right-docked sidebar, collapsible to a 32-pixel tab when you need the screen back. - Skips your own speech automatically — suggestions are for what other people just said. - Cmd+Shift+M (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+M (Windows / Linux) toggles MeetMate off mid-call. The shortcut is rebindable from the popup. CUSTOMIZE THE REPLY - Save up to five personas — interviewer, candidate, account exec, technical reviewer, casual standup. - Each persona is a single prompt; write the voice however you want MeetMate to sound. - Switch the active persona in one click from the popup or the in-meeting sidebar. - Personas support a small set of template tokens like {{date}}, {{platform}}, and {{last_speaker}} so the prompt can adapt to context. REVIEW AFTER THE CALL - When you leave a meeting MeetMate just assisted in, it offers to save a copy on your device — the transcript plus a structured summary (Key points / Decisions / Action items) generated from that same transcript. - Saved meetings live only on your machine, capped at 50. - Open the History page anytime from the popup's "View history" link. From there, click any saved meeting and use "Download .txt" to export the transcript and summary as a plain text file. There is no cloud archive and nothing is uploaded. LANGUAGE - The reply suggestion matches the language of the speaker it is replying to. English captions get English replies; Vietnamese, Spanish, German, Japanese all follow the same rule. Your persona text can be in any language you write it in. PLATFORMS - Google Meet on meet.google.com and Zoom on app.zoom.us. Native Zoom links such as zoom.us/j/<id> are automatically redirected into the web client where MeetMate operates. The native Zoom desktop client and mobile browsers are not supported. PRIVACY - Live transcripts are kept in chrome.storage.session and Chrome wipes them when the window closes. - Saved meetings are kept in chrome.storage.local on your device. MeetMate has no server-side database. - The latest line plus the rolling transcript is sent to NexAI (an OpenAI-compatible language-model proxy hosted at nexai.newdev.net) for one completion and is not retained server-side. - Google sign-in via Firebase Authentication is required. We receive your email address, display name, profile picture URL, and Firebase user identifier — used to enforce a per-account daily quota and nothing else. - A small daily-quota counter is stored as a cookie on nexai.newdev.net so the free-tier limit cannot be reset by uninstalling the extension. The cookie holds a counter and the date — no tracking ID. PRICING - Free forever — 200 AI suggestions per day, no card on file. Optional Pro subscription at USD 9.99 per month for unlimited suggestions, billed via ExtensionPay. Cancel any time from the popup. REQUIREMENTS - Closed captions must be enabled in your meeting. MeetMate will try to enable Meet captions automatically; on Zoom you'll need to turn captions on yourself. - Not affiliated with Google, Zoom, Firebase, NexAI, or ExtensionPay.
