Meeting Tab Auto Closer
Overview
Automatically closes Zoom launch tabs and finished Google Meet tabs after a configurable time
Meeting Tab Auto Closer tidies up the browser tabs that meetings leave behind. • Zoom launch tabs: when a Zoom link opens the desktop app, the leftover "Launch Meeting" tab closes after a delay you choose. • Zoom in the browser: if you join from your browser, the tab stays open for the whole meeting and closes after the meeting ends. • Google Meet: the tab closes after you leave or the call ends. Rejoin, or click anywhere on the page, to keep it. A small countdown shows when a tab is about to close. Click it to keep the tab open. Settings: • Delay from 5 seconds to 10 minutes • Show or hide the countdown • Turn Google Meet closing on or off • Pause the extension without uninstalling The extension collects no data and makes no network requests. Your settings are stored with Chrome sync. ## What's new in 1.3 (for the description or release notes) • New: closes Google Meet tabs after the meeting ends • New: closes Zoom web client tabs after the meeting ends, and never during a meeting • New: click the countdown to keep a tab open • Fixed: tabs that navigated away from the launch page are no longer closed • Fixed: changing or disabling settings now applies to countdowns already running • Fixed: the saved delay and on/off setting are respected right after the browser starts
