Meeting Link Guard
Overview
Warns you before you send a Google Calendar invite with guests but no video conferencing link.
Ever sent a meeting invite and realised five minutes later there's no Meet or Zoom link? Meeting Link Guard catches it before it goes out. When you click Save on a Google Calendar event that has guests but no video link, it pauses and asks what you want to do: • Add video conferencing: opens Calendar's own Meet / Zoom / Teams menu • Send anyway: for in-person meetings or when the link is coming later • Go back: keep editing What counts as a video link: • Meet, or a Zoom or Teams add-on conference, added with "Add video conferencing" • Any major conferencing platform link anywhere in the event, such as the location or description. Details: • Works in the quick-create popup and the full event editor, with the Save button or Ctrl/Cmd+S • Ignores events with no guests (focus time, reminders, personal blocks). Meeting rooms don't count as guests • Works alongside CRM extensions that replace the Save button, such as Lofting's "Loft It" • English and Spanish, following your Calendar language Privacy: the extension needs no permissions, collects nothing, stores nothing and makes no network requests. It runs only on calendar.google.com, and only reads the event you're editing. Meeting Link Guard is an independent tool and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
