Body doubling — staying on a call with someone while you both work quietly, only talking when you actually need to — only works if the call stays quiet. This extension fixes that with one rule: your mic is muted by default, and only live while you're holding Space. How it works Join any Google Meet call — your mic starts muted automatically. Hold Space to talk. Release it and you're muted again. A small draggable button shows your status: red = muted, green = live. Click the toolbar icon to turn the whole thing on or off instantly — like a VPN switch. For body doubling, both people install it — this only controls what you send, so the full quiet-call effect needs both sides running it. Privacy: No audio or video is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. No analytics, no servers, no data collection.
