Bring your Instagram saves into a searchable library. Media IQ lets you ask questions about the content you save and find the original source. What this companion does - Connects the collections you select and the public creator profiles and posts you explicitly choose to track. You add creators one at a time; private accounts are not supported. - Sends your handle and numeric account ID, plus the IDs and names of all your collections and their measured sizes. Counting may read entries in collections you have not selected, but does not import them. - Sends links, codes, available dates and link types for selected saved posts. For each tracked creator, it also sends their handle, numeric ID, display name, post count and public post references. - Shows a credit amount for the selected import before you start. Counting is free; long carousels and videos over five minutes can cost more than the base amount shown. Media IQ then retrieves publicly accessible content on its servers for analysis and search. Content that requires you to be signed in may remain unavailable. What it does not do - It does not access your Instagram password, read your sign-in cookies or private messages, or like, follow or publish anything on your behalf. - It does not send images or videos from your browser or collect your general browsing history. Opening the popup can read and store your Instagram identity and request tokens before import consent. Tokens go only to Instagram. The Media IQ website can read your handle through the linking feature. A linking code authenticates account and credit-balance checks with Media IQ before import consent. Credit balances, operation times and diagnostic records are kept locally; request identifiers, action types and build information go to Media IQ for reliability and security. Imports require your approval. Optional background checks run every six hours while Chrome can run them. They refresh creator counts but use previously measured collection sizes, so new saves need a manual size check. Automatic imports use a separate control. Both options start off and can be turned off. You need A Media IQ account, an Instagram account signed in to Chrome, and credits for analysis.
