Media Beam makes moving files and text between your devices fast, private, and hassle-free — without uploading anything to the cloud. Send photos from your phone to your computer instantly. Share documents with your laptop. Copy text snippets between devices. No accounts, no sign-in, no third-party storage. Everything transfers directly between your browsers using secure WebRTC peer-to-peer connections. Your files never touch a server and are never stored by Media Beam or anyone else. Why install it? • Get photos off your phone and onto your computer quickly without emailing yourself or using cloud drives. • Avoid slow or intrusive services that require accounts, logins, or social profiles. • Keep total control over your files — no cloud storage, no analytics, no tracking. • Simple setup: click “Host”, scan the QR code or enter the code on another device, and send. • Works across platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS* via browser). • Efficient for screenshots, homework files, documents, PDFs, images, and text. Note: On very restrictive networks, direct P2P may be blocked — in that case the app will offer guidance and connection alternatives. Relayed transfers are supported but slower and size-limited.
