Measure Copilot Evidence Collector helps you validate GA4, GTM, Consent Mode v2, DataLayer, and ecommerce measurement — directly from your browser, on any site you choose to audit. WHAT IT DOES • Detects GA4 measurement IDs and GTM container IDs visible on the page • Captures dataLayer events as they fire, including ecommerce and lead-gen events • Validates that GA4 collection requests are actually sent (fetch/XHR/beacon), not just configured • Tracks SPA route changes and checks whether each one produced a matching page_view • Flags possible duplicate GA4 hits sent within the same session • Reads Consent Mode v2 state (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) at the moment each request is sent • Detects common CMPs: OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, iubenda, CookieYes • Reads safe, public ecommerce structured data (Product/Offer/Order JSON-LD) when present HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the site you want to audit, then click the Measure Copilot icon to activate capture on that tab 2. Optionally click "Validate reload" to grant temporary access to that one site so the extension can also validate the initial page load (page_view on document start) 3. Browse the journey you want to test — checkout, lead form, navigation 4. Click "Export evidence" to download a JSON file 5. Upload that file to a Measure Copilot audit at measurecopilot.com/audit for confirmed, evidence-backed findings instead of guesses PRIVACY Evidence is stored locally in the browser and never sent anywhere automatically. Data only leaves your device when you click Export. The extension never reads passwords, cookies, localStorage, typed form field values, payment details, or browsing history. DataLayer and URL data is filtered to a fixed set of measurement fields, with sensitive-looking keys automatically redacted before export. PERMISSIONS This extension does not request standing access to any website. It uses activeTab + scripting to inject its collector only into the tab you explicitly activate it on. Optional, single-site access is requested only if you click "Validate reload," and you can revoke it at any time from the extension popup.
