How it works Unloop counts reels and shorts as you watch them. As your session grows, it gradually increases resistance: a soft nudge early on, a blur overlay deeper in, and a cooldown lock once you've hit your limit. When the session ends, the slate resets. Unloop stays out of your way until the moment it matters — then it slows you down just enough to make the next scroll a choice, not a reflex. Privacy Session data — reel count, time spent, mode, and cooldown state — is stored locally on your device using Chrome storage. Nothing is sent anywhere by default. If you connect the optional Unloop dashboard, the extension syncs limited event data (event type, value, and platform) with Unloop's API. No page content, video titles, URLs, or account identifiers are ever transmitted. Take back your attention — without quitting cold turkey. Version 2.1 Added optional Unloop dashboard connection. Once connected, the extension syncs limited intervention events — reel views, overlay displays, and lock triggers — to your Unloop dashboard so you can track patterns over time. All existing local features — session tracking, friction overlays, cooldown lock, and mode switching — are unchanged.
