Peek
Overview
Find and explicitly switch to an open tab by title or URL.
Find the tab you need without scanning the tab strip. Invoke Peek with Control+Space, then search the titles and URLs of open tabs across normal windows in your current Chrome profile. Ordinary webpages show a centered search palette. Pages where Chrome restricts injection use a separate extension window. - Search by title, domain, or URL fragments. - Return to your previously viewed distinct tab. - Use arrows and Enter, or press Tab for selection mode with j/k and visible numbered shortcuts. - Press Escape to dismiss without switching tabs. - Keep website shortcuts from firing while typing inside Peek. - Customize the shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts if it conflicts with your setup. Search runs locally. Peek has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or remote search service. Tab metadata and queries are not sent to the developer. Chrome's own favicon service supplies tab icons. Incognito tabs are excluded. Known limitation: very early typing can reach the page before the palette mounts, especially after the background worker has been idle. Startup input buffering remains a planned improvement.
