A video went up this morning; fansubs will take two more days. That clip on a smaller site? Nobody is ever going to subtitle it. CapLive was built for exactly those moments. Press "Subtitles on" and the audio of the video you are watching is transcribed and translated as it plays — translation on top, original underneath, both at once. No waiting for post-production, no hunting for subtitle files. CapLive does not. Create an account and start; speech recognition and translation are handled on our side. Unused credit can be refunded at any time. Plans match how people actually watch: • 30 minutes — about one live stream or clip • 60 minutes — about one episode or one talk • 120 minutes — about the length of a feature film ■ ABOUT THE DELAY Subtitles run a second or two behind the audio. That is deliberate. Like a human interpreter, a good translation needs a complete thought before it can be rendered accurately. Translating word by word as they arrive tends to break meaning apart and read badly. CapLive waits for the sense to be complete — what you get back are lines you can actually read and follow, rather than scattered fragments. ■ PRIVACY • We do not record or store the URLs you visit, video titles, or any browsing history • Audio is processed as a live stream and is never recorded or retained • The subtitles produced stay in your browser • No advertising and no tracking code in the extension Full policy: https://caplive.cc/privacy.html ■ WHY THE PERMISSIONS Subtitles have to appear on whichever site you happen to be watching a video on. Because video lives across the entire web — especially the live streams and smaller sites that have no captions of their own — the overlay cannot be limited to a fixed list of domains.
