Overview

Your GitHub and Linear work, live in the side panel: pull requests like github.com/pulls, your issues and your Linear inbox.

Live Tabs keeps your GitHub and Linear work up to date in the browser's side panel: your pull requests, the issues you work on, and your Linear inbox. YOUR INBOX, ALWAYS LIVE • Pull requests, your inbox, sorts them like github.com/pulls: Needs your review, Your drafts, Waiting for review or checks, Needs action, Ready to merge. • Every pull request says where it stands: Approved, Awaiting approval, Changes requested, Checks running, Checks failing. • Refreshes on its own every two minutes, when you open a pull request and when you come back to the browser. • Click a pull request to open it, or to jump to its tab when it's already open. • Dismiss a pull request with ✕; it comes back when it gets new commits or your review is requested again. • A ✓ next to each Live tab counts pull requests merged or closed, and issues closed, since you last looked; click it to see them. MAKE YOUR OWN LIVE TABS • Any GitHub search becomes a Live tab of pull requests or of issues: a repository, a team, a label. • Starts with your pull requests and the issues assigned to you. • Start any Live tab from a ready-made one: review requests, pull requests you wrote or reviewed, issues you created or are mentioned in, and more. • Issue rows show their labels in colour; a dismissed issue comes back when it's assigned to you. • Collapse a Live tab, see its five newest first, and drag Live tabs into your own order. • Your Live tabs follow you to your other browsers through browser sync. YOUR LINEAR INBOX, BESIDE GITHUB • Use GitHub, Linear or both. Connect Linear from the first screen or its tab, and the Linear inbox lists the issues you have Linear notifications about, one row per issue. • Each row says why it's there, in Linear's words (Assigned to you, Mentioned you, New comment, Status changed), with the issue's status and who it's from, in bold while unread. • Dismiss an issue with ✕; it comes back with its next notification. Nothing changes in Linear. • Tabs at the top switch between All, GitHub and Linear. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No server: Live Tabs talks to GitHub and Linear directly from your browser. • Your GitHub and Linear sign-ins stay in this browser and are never synced or sent anywhere but GitHub and Linear. • No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Connect GitHub in two clicks: Live Tabs shows a short code, copies it, and opens GitHub to paste it. Connect Linear through Linear's own sign-in window, or paste a personal API key. Live Tabs asks Linear for read access only. Why full access to private repositories? GitHub has no read-only permission for private repositories in OAuth Apps. Live Tabs only reads GitHub and Linear: it never writes, comments, merges, closes or marks anything read. Works in Chrome, Brave and other Chromium browsers.
