Comfy Reader helps you make digital text comfortable to read and listen to. Choose fonts, text size, spacing and colors, or listen while following the words. Use quick tools on a website or bring content into Comfortable view. MAKE THE PAGE YOURS Choose fonts including Atkinson Hyperlegible, OpenDyslexic and Lexend. Adjust text size, line spacing, letter spacing, word spacing and reading width in the dedicated reader. Choose a theme, normalize inconsistent spaces, clean up plain text layout, and use reading focus to follow a line. Optional word anchoring emphasizes leading letters or syllables; it starts off, with Leading letters at 0%. Set the appearance to suit your preferences rather than a diagnosis. READ ALOUD, YOUR WAY Use available browser voices without installing a speech service, or connect an optional local Kokoro service. Pause, resume, replay, change speed and volume, seek with keyboard shortcuts, and follow speech highlighting where timing is available. Read a selected passage or click a word to move playback. Customize pronunciation using Everyday reader, Medical provider, Gamer and Software engineer profiles, with editable rules and settings export/import. BRING WHAT YOU WANT TO READ Send selected website text or a visible Gmail message using Open in Comfy. Open a loaded website in the reader and follow supported links. Paste text, try a URL, or import a selectable-text PDF. PDF export can create a formatted download, including documents longer than the on-screen preview limit. Headings, lists and tables are retained or reconstructed where possible. An illustrated guide and downloadable Word guide are packaged with Comfy. STAY ON THE WEBSITE Click the Comfy toolbar icon to open draggable, collapsible tools on the current page. Adjust fonts, scale, spacing and optional anchoring without replacing the whole website. Read page uses browser speech. After you enable the tools in a tab, they can follow navigation in that tab where Chrome permits access. Close the tools or restore the original page to turn that off. IMPORTANT TO KNOW No Comfy account is required. Formatting and PDF conversion run locally. Browser voices may use a network service. Local Kokoro is optional, installed separately and requires your permission; cloud AI speech is not integrated. Comfy does not sell reading data or use advertising/analytics trackers. URL downloads can be blocked by websites; opening the page in your browser and sending selected text is an alternative. Protected browser pages and unloaded content may be unavailable. Scanned PDFs need OCR elsewhere. Original layout, tables, syllables and speech timing cannot always be reproduced exactly. Customization may help some people with dyslexia or other reading preferences, but Comfy is not a medical treatment or a guarantee of improved reading.
