CaptureMem — Save to Library

Overview
Save pages, pasted links, tab groups, and bookmarks to your private CaptureMem library.
Keep a useful website, app, or repository while it is still open in your browser. CaptureMem — Save to Library sends the current tab’s URL to your private CaptureMem library. Open the extension and choose Save to Library, or use its keyboard shortcut. The popup and toolbar badge confirm when CaptureMem has saved the link. If the link is already in your library, the extension tells you. If a save fails, you can retry the original URL even after moving to another tab. Your CaptureMem library keeps the source link and gives you a place to browse collections, search your saved finds, and add your own notes. Summaries and automatic filing are handled by the CaptureMem service, based on source content it can access. To get started: 1. Open the extension’s Connection settings and choose Connect to CaptureMem. 2. Approve access to capturemem.com, then confirm the CaptureMem account shown. Your existing website login is used. If you are signed out, sign in first and continue. No credential copying is required. 3. Open a website, click CaptureMem, and choose Save to Library. The suggested shortcut is Command+Shift+S on Mac and Ctrl+Shift+S elsewhere. You can change it in Chrome’s extension shortcut settings if another command uses it. Data and access: - The connection flow gives this browser a capture-only credential lasting 90 days. Your full website session, password, and cookies are not copied into the extension. - Saving sends the selected page’s URL and your capture credential to the CaptureMem server you configure. - The active tab’s title is displayed locally in the popup; the extension does not send the title or page contents. - Your server address, capture credential, account email, connection expiry, last save result, and any failed URL are kept in this Chrome profile for connection and retry. The extension does not use Chrome sync storage. - The extension includes no browsing-history scanner, page-content injection, advertising, or analytics code. Host access is requested only for the CaptureMem site you choose. - Disconnect revokes this browser’s credential and clears its local connection and retry state. If a network failure prevents revocation, the extension explains how to revoke it in Settings & connections. Removing the extension itself does not revoke server credentials. A CaptureMem account is required. Advanced settings remain available for manual credentials and a custom CaptureMem server. Account access and any applicable subscription are managed by CaptureMem; see the website for current availability and pricing. The extension does not collect payment details. It does not save browser-internal pages such as chrome:// URLs.
