Open the extension from Chrome's Side Panel to reduce off-screen rendering work, focus on the active conversation, save reusable prompts, add conversation context, monitor conversation health, create local recovery copies, and export useful work without leaving ChatGPT. Use it for writing, coding, research, support, documentation, learning, meetings, decisions, or planning. Power Booster does not send your conversations to a developer-owned server or an external AI service. MANAGE LONG CHATGPT CONVERSATIONS Long conversations become harder to navigate as they grow. The page can feel heavier, useful prompts become difficult to find, and moving unfinished work into a new chat takes time. Power Booster gives you a compact workspace for managing these sessions from Chrome's Side Panel. You can: * Reduce rendering work outside the visible area * Hide distracting ChatGPT interface elements * Jump to the latest message * Measure the size and structure of a conversation * Create local conversation recovery copies * Check prompts for likely sensitive information before sending * Save and reuse prompts * Build prompts with reusable variables * Insert saved conversation context without replacing existing text * Export the complete active conversation as TXT, Markdown, or JSON * Prepare a structured continuation prompt for a new chat SPEED MODE Speed Mode helps Chrome avoid unnecessary rendering work in parts of a long conversation that are outside the visible area. It uses the browser's content-visibility behavior while preserving ChatGPT's message elements, page structure, and scroll position. It does not detach, replace, or delete older messages. Speed Mode may make large conversations feel more responsive depending on the conversation, browser, and device. It does not change ChatGPT's model speed or the performance of OpenAI's servers. FOCUS MODE Focus Mode hides selected ChatGPT interface elements so you can concentrate on the active conversation. Use it when writing, reviewing a long answer, presenting work, or reducing visual distractions. You can enable or disable it at any time from the Side Panel. Jump to Latest provides a separate shortcut for returning to the newest visible message. CONVERSATION HEALTH Exact Conversation Health helps you understand when a conversation is becoming large enough to back up or continue in a fresh chat. It can report: * Messages in the active branch * Messages across the complete stored conversation * Character counts * Total conversation nodes * Branch points * Alternative branches Power Booster retrieves this information temporarily from ChatGPT using the active session already present in the page. Authentication credentials are never stored, logged, returned to the extension developer, or included in analytics. If exact structured data cannot be retrieved, Power Booster clearly labels browser-visible counts as partial instead of presenting them as complete. Conversation Health measures conversation size and structure. It does not claim to know how much of ChatGPT's internal context window remains available. CONVERSATION SAFETY NET Conversation Safety Net creates automatic local recovery copies of the active conversation branch after completed conversation changes. Use it as protection before a long session becomes difficult to load, before editing an earlier message, or before continuing through alternative branches. Safety Net: * Stores recovery copies in extension-owned local browser storage * Keeps previous copies when an edit or branch changes the active timeline * Lets you download the latest or an earlier copy from Settings * Removes internal tool activity from newly created backups * Applies configurable storage and retention limits * Removes the oldest inactive backups first when cleanup is required Safety Net does not restore data to OpenAI's servers and does not replace ChatGPT's own conversation history. It gives you a local copy that remains under your control. SENSITIVE PASTE GUARD Sensitive Paste Guard checks the ChatGPT composer locally before a message is sent. It can detect likely sensitive content such as: * Private keys * Bearer tokens * JWT tokens * Common provider API keys * Labelled passwords, secrets, and credentials * Authenticated database URLs * Email addresses * Payment card numbers * Optional international phone numbers * Client names, project names, or other protected terms you define A standalone UUID is not treated as sensitive because it is usually an identifier. It can still be detected when used as the value of a token, key, password, or secret. When likely sensitive content is found, Power Booster pauses the send action and lets you review the message, mask detected values, or deliberately send it unchanged. Detection happens locally in the browser. No external service receives the composer text for this check. CHATGPT PROMPT MANAGER Prompt Favorites gives you a reusable prompt library inside the extension. You can: * Save a prompt with a title * Insert a saved prompt into the ChatGPT composer * Copy a prompt to the clipboard * Review the full workflow before using it * Delete prompts you no longer need Free users can save up to 3 prompts. Pro removes the prompt limit. When Power Booster inserts a prompt, it preserves text already present in the ChatGPT composer instead of silently replacing it. DYNAMIC TEMPLATES Turn saved prompts into reusable templates. PREPARE A NEW CHAT Long conversations sometimes need to continue in a fresh chat. Prepare a New Chat inserts a structured prompt asking ChatGPT to summarize the current conversation, including: * Decisions * Constraints * Open issues * Next steps * A continuation brief for the new chat You decide when to send the request. ChatGPT creates the summary inside the current conversation. Power Booster does not summarize the conversation itself and does not send it to an external AI API. This feature is included in the Free plan. EXPORT CHATGPT CONVERSATIONS Keep useful work outside the active conversation. Free export: * Download the complete active conversation as TXT Pro exports: * Download formatted Markdown for documentation and notes * Download structured JSON for archiving or further processing Power Booster retrieves the complete active conversation branch instead of relying only on messages currently rendered on screen. Exports exclude internal reasoning, progress commentary, tool calls, and tool execution results. TXT and Markdown contain the conversation text without localized labels such as "You said" or "ChatGPT said." JSON preserves roles, timestamps, and attachment references when ChatGPT exposes them.
