Max QR Code Tools: QR Scanner & Generator
Overview
QR & barcode generator/scanner. SVG vector, logo overlay, screen capture, Wi-Fi & local processing.
Max QR Code Tools — a technical tool for generating, customising, and scanning QR codes and linear barcodes directly in your browser. 📐 GENERATION FEATURES AND FORMATS • Vector SVG vs. raster PNG: - SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics): generates clean vector outlines without a pixel grid. Vector QR codes maintain absolute clarity when scaled to any size (ideal for print, banners, signage) and import correctly into graphic editors (Figma, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW). - PNG: raster format with adjustable physical resolution (in pixels) for use in web documents and digital materials. • Central logo integration: - When a logo is enabled, the generator automatically increases error correction to the maximum Level H (High, recovering up to 30% of damaged data). - A white isolating base with rounded corners is created beneath the logo, preventing dark code modules from overlapping the logo image and ensuring 100% readability by scanners. • Colour scheme customisation: - Choose any colour for the code pixels and background while maintaining contrast. • Supported encoding standards: - 2D codes: QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417. - Linear barcodes: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 128, Code 39. 🔍 SCANNING METHODS AND ALGORITHMS • Screen Area Capture: - Select any part of a web page with an interactive frame. Enables scanning QR codes and barcodes from video streams, online presentations, webinars, and sites with disabled context menus. • Image processing: - Recognise graphics from web pages via the browser’s context menu. - Direct paste of image data from the clipboard (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V). - File uploads via the file picker or Drag-and-Drop. • Recognition algorithm (Multi-Engine Decoder): - Sequential decoding cascade using the native BarcodeDetector API, along with jsQR and ZXing software algorithms to ensure decryption of damaged or low-contrast images. ⚙️ AUTOMATIC DATA PROCESSING (SMART PARSING) • Wi-Fi network module: - Extracts WIFI:S:...;T:...;P:...; structure, separating SSID, encryption type (WPA/WPA2/WEP), and provides an automatic button to copy the password to the clipboard. • Product analytics (EAN / UPC): - Identifies product barcodes and generates direct search queries in Google and Yandex for quick product identification. • Web links and text blocks: - Automatic URL validation with the option to open in a new tab and extract unstructured text. 🔒 SECURITY AND ARCHITECTURE (OFFLINE-FIRST) • Local processing: - The extension operates entirely within the browser sandbox without using external server APIs. - Scanned images and generated texts are not transmitted over the network or stored on third-party resources. - Fully functional without an internet connection. 📂 HISTORY MANAGEMENT • Local log: - Stores up to 50 of the most recent generated and scanned entries in chrome.storage.local. - Export the entire operation history to a structured JSON file. 🛠 USAGE INSTRUCTIONS 1. Generate a code for the current page: Click the extension icon in the browser toolbar — the QR code will be generated automatically. 2. Generate from text: Select any text on the page -> Right-click -> “Create QR code for selected text”. 3. Scan an image on a website: Right-click on any image -> “Decode QR code on image”. 4. Scan from the screen: Open the “Scan” tab -> Click “Select area on screen” -> Hold the left mouse button and select the area with the code.
