MathVoice — Voice Math Editing

Edit LaTeX math by speaking natural-language commands — works in Overleaf, Notion, Roam Research, Desmos, and Google Docs. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the MathVoice toolbar icon to open the side panel 2. Click or select a math expression — it loads into the panel automatically 3. Speak your edit: "change the denominator to n", "square both sides", "remove the square root" 4. Click Apply to write the result back into your editor SUPPORTED APPS - Overleaf — full read/write into the CodeMirror source editor (edit is undoable with Ctrl+Z) - Notion — click a math block to load it for editing; compose then Apply → click target to insert - Roam Research — click a $$ block to load it; Apply writes the edited LaTeX back into the block - Desmos — click an expression to load it; Apply writes the edited expression back via the Desmos API - Google Docs — copies a rendered equation image to your clipboard (canvas-rendered, no read-back); paste with Ctrl/⌘+V FEATURES - Voice input in the side panel — speak equations right beside your document, no separate tab (grant mic permission once) - Speak or type commands — fast regex pipeline for common edits; LLM fallback for anything unusual - Live KaTeX rendering as you edit, so you can see the equation before applying it - Auto-load: selecting math in Overleaf, or clicking a block in Notion / Roam / Desmos, loads it into the editor automatically - Copy LaTeX or MathML output with one click - Preset formulas: Quadratic formula, Euler's identity, Power rule, Gaussian integral, Algebra equation, Basel problem MICROPHONE SETUP The first time you click the microphone button, a small setup page opens at mathvoice.app — grant mic access there. This one-time step is required because browsers cannot prompt for microphone access from within a side panel. After granting, return to the panel and speak normally.
