Markpin saves web pages and clips as plain Markdown files that stay yours. SAVE A PAGE Click the floating button and the page is saved: URL, title and main text, always in the same clean layout. CLIP TEXT AND REGIONS Select a sentence, or drag a rectangle over part of the page. Add a note if you like. Next time you visit, the clip is highlighted right where you left it. YOUR FILES, YOUR AI Everything is Markdown in a folder you pick or in your Google Drive. Obsidian opens it. Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients can search and read it through the local @markpin/mcp server. WHERE YOUR DATA GOES • It starts in your browser. Nothing to set up, and it works offline. • Connect a folder on your computer or your Google Drive, and the same files sync there. Nothing else gets uploaded. • The MCP server runs on your computer and reads that folder, so your AI tools can see your pages without anything leaving your machine. • Summaries and tag suggestions use Chrome's built-in on-device model.
