WHAT OTHER "COPY AS MARKDOWN" EXTENSIONS GET WRONG — AND WHAT MARKGRAB FIXES • Missing image alt text — the most popular copy-as-Markdown extension has a known, unfixed bug: it can't grab image.alt when you copy an image. MarkGrab captures it correctly, every time, even when a page has two identical images with different alt text. • Link titles disappearing on Windows — another known bug in the same extension: on Windows, copied links lose their title. MarkGrab builds the link's Markdown itself from the page's own DOM instead of relying on OS clipboard metadata, so it works identically on Windows, macOS and Linux. • Broken tables and code blocks — the other popular clipper is well known for mangling GitHub-flavored tables and losing line breaks inside code blocks. MarkGrab uses Turndown plus the GFM plugin with custom rules, so tables and multi-language code blocks come out exactly as they look on the page. • No LLM-specific mode — MarkGrab has a real one: strip navigation, ads and footers automatically (Readability-powered), toggle links on or off to save tokens, add an optional YAML front-matter block (url / title / date) for note-taking apps, and see a live token estimate before you paste. • No feedback when copying — every copy shows a confirmation toast, success or failure, never silent.
