Market Daybook — Trading Journal for Stocks & Options
Overview
A local-only manual and CSV trading journal with guided behavioral reviews.
Market Daybook is a trading journal that runs entirely on your own device, in Chrome's side panel, next to your broker or charting platform. It is offline by design: no account, no sign-up, no server, and no subscription. One $29 purchase, and your trades never leave your browser. Log a trade and the extension reconstructs your position from the fills, prompts you to journal the context while it's fresh, and rolls it into a weekly review that catches the mistake you're about to repeat. WHO IT'S FOR Discretionary stock, ETF, and options traders who want a private trade log and an honest post-trade review — without handing their P&L to a cloud service or paying a monthly fee. HOW TRADES GET IN - Enter a trade manually, including multi-leg scale-ins and scale-outs. - Paste a table straight from your broker's trade history — columns are detected automatically, with manual mapping if needed. - Import a broker CSV: dedicated support for Fidelity, Thinkorswim, and NinjaTrader, plus a generic column-mapper for any other broker. - Optional downloads watcher spots a broker export landing in your Downloads folder and offers a one-click import. WHAT YOU GET BACK - Automatic trade reconstruction: exact-decimal P&L, long and short positions, partial fills and scale-ins/outs handled correctly. - Options support: single-leg calls and puts, cash-secured and covered positions, and multi-leg strategy groups with lifecycle resolution. - A journal for each trade: plan strategy, a reusable "trade mistakes" vocabulary, emotion and confidence ratings, and free-text notes. - A trading plan tab: pre-trade checklist, tagged strategies you define, plan-adherence score, and planned-vs-actual R on every trade. - Trade grading: every trade classified as a good win, good loss, bad win, bad loss, or scratch, so process and outcome stay separate. - A weekly behavioral briefing: one real strength, one costly repeated mistake, and one focused experiment for next week — surfaced only when the evidence supports it. - A customizable dashboard and an Excel-like spreadsheet view of your log. PRIVACY, BY DESIGN Local-only, and enforced rather than promised. The extension ships a Content Security Policy of connect-src 'none', which blocks it from making any network request at all. It requests no host permissions, runs no content scripts, and loads no remote code — you can verify all of this yourself in the manifest. Everything is stored in your browser, on your device. Export or delete your data anytime from the Data & privacy screen. PRICING $29 USD, one time. No subscription, no account, no trial expiry games. Without a license the extension is read-only: you can always view and always export everything you've entered. SCOPE Built for US equities, ETFs, and options. Futures work through NinjaTrader's trade report import, using that broker's reported P&L rather than a full futures pricing model. No forex or crypto support. No broker connection and no trade execution — Market Daybook records and reviews, it does not trade.
