Unicode character support
Hello. I've been having issues with unicode characters not displaying correctly with this extension. I see a post from 2018 that refers to documentation on how to fix this issue, but it seems like this section no longer exists. Do you have any advice for viewing markdown characters?

Today with Chrome 123.0.6312.86 does not work
From today the markdownviewer extension does not work properly. If you try to open a file from your PC it download over and over again but it does not open it. It is necessary close Chrome to stop teh downloading. The version of Chrome is 123.0.6312.86. In other PC with version 122.0.6261.112 works properly

Margin width viewing markdown file.
Please add options to remove the width margin when viewing a markdown file. Also, if we can add an option to left alignment the markdown document and maximize the width of the browser.

Never works
Tried all the settings to allow file access, etc., all mentioned but it never shows the markdown contents on a Chrome Browser in a Mac OS. Really tired, as even after removing, reinstalling and restarting the browser never paid off!

Markdown Viewer v5.1
Markdown Viewer v5.1 has been released with lots of new features and bugfixes. In case the extension stopped working for you try to restart your browser or as a last resort re-install the extension. There are some known problems with the underlying Manifest v3 implementation that the Chromium team is currently working on. Thanks for the understanding.

Changes in v5
Markdown Viewer has been updated to the latest and now mandatory manifest v3. This is a big change so in case you are encountering some weird issues try to restart the extension from chrome://extensions (make sure you toggle the developer mode switch). Click on the Defaults button inside the extensions' popup. Also go to the advanced options page and make sure that if any of your origins have a `refresh` label on them to refresh them one by one. If access to file:/// URLs is disabled for some reason you will see another button in the advanced options page to enable it.

Don't work with github
I design my md files in VSC and look at them in chrome and its ok.
Once uploaded to github, looking at them on line, the content appears then disappears if the extension is on.
Having a look, the extension shows errors :
