MarkDeck is a focused Markdown reader for local .md, .markdown, .mkd, and .mdx files and direct Markdown URLs. Open a document and turn raw text into a calm, structured reading experience with CommonMark and GitHub Flavored Markdown support. Read your way with five themes, six bundled typefaces, adjustable text size, line spacing, and reading width. Navigate long technical documents with a table of contents, in-document search, reading progress, and automatic position restore. Syntax highlighting and exact code copy make README files and documentation easier to use. Highlight important passages, add optional notes, and jump back to them later. Highlights, notes, reading position, recent documents, and preferences stay in your browser profile with no product-imposed limits. Privacy is part of the design: MarkDeck has no account, ads, analytics, telemetry, payments, or backend service. Local files are processed on your device. Remote Markdown and cross-origin images are requested only after you approve access to the specific origin. MarkDeck is intentionally a Markdown reader, not an editor or universal document viewer. It does not open PDF, EPUB, arbitrary plain text, or HTML documents.
