Mark is a simple, intuitive way to read Markdown files in your browser. Double-click a .md file and read it like a document, not source code. Features - Opens local .md and .markdown files by double-click - Contents rail built from your headings, with click-to-jump - Light, dark, and system themes - Typography tuned for long documents - GitHub Flavored Markdown — tables, task lists, footnotes, strikethrough - Syntax highlighting with a language label and copy button - Math rendering with KaTeX, inline and block - Mermaid diagrams - SVG and safe embedded HTML Privacy Mark is read-only. Your files are never modified. Everything happens on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, there is no server, and there is no account. The only thing stored is your theme preference, kept in your browser's local storage. Every document is sanitized before it renders. Setup After installing, two steps are needed: 1. Go to chrome://extensions, find Mark, click Details, and turn on "Allow access to file URLs". 2. Set Chrome as the default application for .md files on your system.
