Overview
Move your saved Google Maps places to another Google account. Pair once, then MapsMover saves every place for you.
Google gives you no way to move your saved places to a different Google account. Export, and you get a folder of CSV files that Maps refuses to import. MapsMover closes that gap: you upload your Google Takeout export to mapsmover.com, pick the lists you want, and this extension saves every place into your new account for you — in the right list, one tab at a time, while you do something else. It works with your own signed-in Google Maps session in your own browser. No Google password is ever shared with MapsMover, and there is no unofficial Maps API involved. FEATURES • Transfers whole saved lists — list names and membership are preserved, not flattened into one bucket. • Creates missing lists in the destination account automatically, without creating duplicates. • Runs in the background: pair the extension once with a token, press Start, and let it work. • Live progress in the popup — every place with its status, plus the exact error when one fails. • Retry failed places in one click, straight from the popup. • Survives browser and service-worker restarts; resumes where it left off. • Skips places that are already saved, so re-running never un-saves anything. • Human-paced saving (a short randomised delay between places) instead of hammering Maps. HOW IT WORKS 1. Export your saved places from the source account with Google Takeout. 2. Upload the export ZIP at mapsmover.com and choose which lists to transfer. 3. Sign in to Google Maps in this browser with the DESTINATION account. 4. Generate a pairing token on the transfer's progress page and paste it into this popup. 5. Press Start. The helper opens each place, saves it to the right list, and reports progress back. WHAT YOU NEED • A mapsmover.com account. New accounts include 50 free place credits; larger packs and an unlimited pass are available at mapsmover.com. • A Google Takeout export of the source account's saved places. • The destination Google account signed in to Google Maps in this browser. PRIVACY The extension stores your pairing token and the current transfer queue locally in the browser. It sends only place outcomes (saved / skipped / failed) back to mapsmover.com. It does not read your browsing history, does not touch pages other than Google Maps, and contains no analytics or ads. It uses Google's official Takeout export and automates saving in your own signed-in browser session.
