Manual Popup Hider (Simple)
Overview
Manually hide intrusive popups on the current page by selecting them.
This Chrome extension allows users to manually hide unwanted popups or overlay elements on a webpage by selecting them directly. It is designed to be simple, lightweight, and fully user controlled. When the user activates selection mode, the extension temporarily enables an element selection tool on the current page. The user can hover over elements to preview the selection and click on a popup or overlay to hide it. The extension does not automatically block advertisements, does not use filter lists, and does not run in the background. All actions are performed only after a clear user interaction. The extension only accesses the active tab when the user chooses to start selection mode. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or page content. No external services or third party libraries are used. This tool is suitable for users who want a quick and manual way to remove intrusive popups, overlays, or modal elements from webpages for better readability and browsing comfort.
