Manifest is an AI pair programmer that lives inside GitHub's web editor. It suggests code as you type and lets you explain, comment, fix or document any selection with one keystroke, so you never have to leave GitHub for an IDE. WHAT IT DOES - Suggests code inline as you type, streaming in as grey ghost text within about a second of you pausing - Lets you accept a whole suggestion (Tab) or just the next word (Ctrl + →), and cycle through up to 5 alternatives - Explains selected code in a side panel, even on read-only file views - Fixes bugs, adds comments and writes docstrings for selected code, shown as a diff you can Apply or Copy WHY INSTALL IT - Make quick edits on GitHub faster: fix a typo, patch a bug or tweak a function without cloning the repo or opening an editor - Understand unfamiliar code instantly: select it, press Alt + Shift + E, and get a plain-language explanation - Stay in control: nothing changes in your file until you accept it - No subscription: Manifest is free, and you use your own free Groq API key - Private by design: your key is stored locally in your browser, and only the code you are editing or have selected (up to 10,000 characters) is sent to generate a response GET STARTED IN MINUTES 1.
