The web is full of ideas that deserve to move: a theorem in a paper, an algorithm in a blog post, an architecture diagram in your docs, a formula on Wikipedia. Manic Animate turns the content you're already reading into a real animation not a slideshow, not an uneditable AI clip, but a living .manic program you can inspect, refine, render to video, and keep in your Manic projects. CAPTURE ANYTHING YOU CAN SEE • Select text and right-click — formulas come out as real TeX (KaTeX, MathJax, MathML, even Wikipedia's formula images), code keeps its indentation, tables keep their structure. • Right-click any image — charts, diagrams, figures — captured at full resolution. • Drag a rectangle over any part of a page, or grab the whole view — perfect for PDFs, dashboards, and canvas apps where nothing is selectable. DIRECT IT IN YOUR OWN WORDS No rigid templates. One creative-direction field is the steering wheel: "Show a request entering a load balancer, then flowing to one server at a time. Make the hot path bright and fast." Pick a model, a format (vertical, landscape, square), a style, a motion treatment — and Generate. REAL, VALIDATED SOURCE Every draft is checked against the actual Manic validator, with automatic repair rounds, before you see it. What arrives is a working .manic file: readable, editable, yours. Copy it, download it, or open it in Manic Create, the browser playground. REFINE LIKE A DIRECTOR Say what should change — "slow the reveal, make the formula glow, switch to portrait" — and the same creative thread evolves the same file. A failed attempt never destroys good work. RENDER TO VIDEO, AUTOMATICALLY Every generated file is saved into your Manic project. With auto-render on, a clean generation flows straight into a hosted render and comes back as a playable video in the panel. Generations and renders are durable jobs — close the panel, come back, they're still going. PRIVACY, PLAINLY Only what you explicitly capture is used — selecting, right-clicking, or dragging is the consent. There is no background page reading and no tracking. Your API key and captures stay in extension-local storage and can be cleared anytime. REQUIREMENTS A Manic account and API key from app.maniclang.com (scopes: ai:generate, jobs:read, projects:read, projects:write, render:create). AI generation uses Manic AI credits, purchased in Manic App; hosted renders use your plan's exports.
