Mangrove Reviews

Mangrove Reviews lets you review the website, place or book you are looking at, from the browser toolbar. Open the popup on any page and it finds the subject: a place on Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, a book on Amazon, Open Library or any page that shows an ISBN, or the website itself. It shows how the subject is reviewed so far and opens a form for your rating, your text and your photos. Your review follows the Open Reviews standard and goes into the Mangrove open dataset, licensed CC BY 4.0, where every app and website that uses the standard can show it. There is no account to create: the extension makes a signing key in your browser and keeps it there. Copy the key to review as the same person on mangrove.reviews or on another device. The extension reads the current tab only when you open the popup, keeps the key and your unfinished reviews in the browser, and talks to the Mangrove servers only to read and publish reviews. Open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, maintained by the Open Reviews Association.
