youtube attacks the extension corrupting it after so much use forcing me to come back here and remove and redownload it

I really like this extension, but for some reason, Malwarebytes started causing lags since about a week ago. When I go through tabs with instant side popups (like history or bookmarks) or scroll on any page, there's a glitchy delay. It's not as smooth as it used to be. So today, I tried to troubleshoot the issue by tweaking Chrome settings, disabling Windows Efficiency Mode for Chrome, and disabling Chrome's built-in memory saver.
