The activeTab permission is used to interact with the currently active tab. The scripting permission is used to apply visual marker logic to supported pages. The storage permission is used to save local extension settings and marker data. Host permissions are used so the extension can apply and restore markers on supported pages selected or opened by the user. Technical limitation: The extension does not directly change the native background color of Chrome tabs. Instead, it provides visual tab recognition through title updates, generated marker icons, popup-based management, and the in-page floating panel.
