Make Maps Normal Again
Overview
Restores Canadian-region geographic naming on Google Maps and adds clearly satirical location annotations.
MAKE MAPS NORMAL AGAIN Turn off executive pettiness. Restore sanity. Make Maps Normal Again (MMNA) restores familiar geographic naming on Google Maps by automatically switching Google's Results Region while the extension is enabled. Turn MMNA on and Google Maps uses the Canadian Results Region, restoring familiar labels such as Lake Ontario and Gulf of Mexico. Turn it off and MMNA switches the Results Region back to the United States. MMNA also contains a few satirical Easter eggs scattered around Google Maps. Happy exploring. What MMNA does: Automatically switches Google's Results Region when enabled or disabled. Uses Google's own map labels rather than drawing replacement geographic labels over the map. Adds a small number of satirical map annotations. Provides a simple ON/OFF toggle. Privacy: MMNA does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. It does not use analytics or tracking. Please note: Changing Google's Results Region can affect regional behavior in other Google Search services while MMNA is enabled. MMNA is an independent satirical browser extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
