Majik Message is a browser extension for encrypting and decrypting text directly in your browser. It is not a chat platform — it does not host conversations or store messages on a server. Instead, it allows you to convert any selected text into an encrypted string and share it securely with others. How it works: Text encryption anywhere • Highlight any text on a page (e.g., Gmail, Facebook, documents), right-click, and select Encrypt. • The extension generates an encrypted string that replaces the original text or can be copied. • Only designated contacts can decrypt the message. Local account system using seed phrases • You do not need to register with an email or password. • Your account is derived from a seed phrase, which you control. • You can save and export your account as a JSON file or a backup key, and import it later to restore your account on another device. • You can add multiple contacts who can decrypt your messages. Shareable accounts • You can share your account using an invite key, allowing others to add you as a contact. • This makes collaboration or shared access possible without central servers. Page-wide decryption • You can decrypt an entire page at once if it contains encrypted strings valid for your account. • Automatic scanning and decryption • Enable the scanner in settings to automatically detect encrypted text on any page. • The extension will decrypt valid strings in real-time, removing the need to manually highlight and decrypt each one.
