Gmail AI Assistant adds a small AI-powered button directly inside Gmail's compose window, so you can improve your email drafts without leaving your inbox or copy-pasting into a separate chat app. HOW IT WORKS While writing an email, click the sparkle button that appears in your compose window. Choose a quick action — Improve Writing, Make Shorter, Make Formal, Make Friendly — or type your own custom instruction (e.g. "add a polite follow-up line" or "translate to Spanish"). Your draft is rewritten in place, instantly.
