Overview
Block known email tracking pixels and see who tried to track you, with tracking-link warnings and local reports.
Protect your inbox from known email tracking without turning off ordinary images. Mailshade blocks browser requests to known tracking-pixel domains on webmail sites you explicitly enable. It also identifies recognized tracking redirects and keeps a local history so you can understand where tracking appeared over time. CORE FEATURES - Block requests to known tracking-pixel domains with Chrome Manifest V3 network rules. - See detected pixels and recognized tracking links in an opened message. - Mark a matching inbox row when the webmail service provides a stable message identity. - Review activity by date, sender domain, and mail client. - Get a warning before visiting a recognized tracking redirect. When the real destination is encoded in the address, Mailshade can open it directly. - Adjust detection sensitivity, allow selected domains, clear history, or export Mailshade-owned data as JSON. - Use light, dark, or automatic appearance in ten interface languages. COMPATIBILITY AND PERMISSIONS Enable only the inboxes you use. Each supported client is enabled separately. Mailshade never asks for <all_urls> access, and it does not inspect an inbox until you grant access to that specific webmail site. See the current compatibility list: https://mailshade.org/platform/ PRIVACY BY DESIGN Detection history is stored in local IndexedDB and is not sent to Mailshade. Message bodies are not stored. To detect and attribute known trackers, the extension processes sender metadata, opaque message or thread identifiers supplied by the webmail service, and relevant image or link addresses. Chrome Sync may synchronize preferences when browser sync is enabled. Paid activation and optional crash reporting are separate, user-initiated features described in the Privacy Policy. FREE AND PRO Every new installation includes a 14-day Pro trial with no card required. - Free includes core pixel protection, a rolling 7-day report, message indicators, tracking-link warnings with local decoding, and allow rules for tracker domains. - Pro adds all retained history, the top 30 sender domains, filtered CSV export, and per-sender mute and strict-scan controls. Paid options are $19 Founders Lifetime for the first 1,000 supporters, $59 Lifetime, $29 Annual, or $3.99 Monthly. Every paid option unlocks the same Pro features. Payments are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record, and each paid plan includes a 30-day refund.
