mailmymail — free mail merge for Gmail
Overview
Send personalized mail-merge campaigns from your own Gmail account.
mailmymail turns Gmail into a mail-merge tool. Upload a CSV, write one message with merge fields, review the exact messages and the exact recipients, and send from your own Gmail account. It is free. No paid tier, no trial, no card. BEFORE YOU INSTALL — WHAT THIS STORES mailmymail copies the messages in your Gmail mailbox, including full message bodies and attachments, to our storage. That is how campaigns detect replies and bounces and keep a record of what was sent. That includes messages written to you by other people, who never installed anything. Their data is used only to make your campaigns work, is never sold or shared, is never used to train anything, and is deleted when you delete your account. If you are not comfortable with that, do not install this. We would rather you read it here than discover it later. YOU CONFIRM EVERY CAMPAIGN BEFORE IT SENDS Nothing sends without your explicit approval of both the content and the recipients. - The review screen renders every message with the same code that sends it, so what you approve is exactly what goes out. - A campaign will not start if the list changed after you reviewed it. You review the new one. - A campaign will not start if a merge field would come out blank. - STOP is always available in the popup, alongside sent today, remaining this hour, queue depth, and time until the next send. HOW IT WORKS 1. Upload your list. Drop in a CSV. Columns are detected automatically, and duplicates, typos and dead domains are cleaned out before anything is sent. 2. Write it once. Compose in Gmail with your real signature. Use {{firstName}} — or any other column — as a merge field. 3. Review, then send. See the exact messages and the exact recipients before a single one goes out. Sending is paced like a person typing, not a machine firing. 4. Follow up automatically. Schedule a second and third touch. Anyone who replies, bounces or unsubscribes drops out of the sequence on their own. WHAT IT DOES NOT ASK FOR mailmymail requests no Google OAuth scopes at all, and does not use the Gmail API. It works inside the Gmail tab you are already signed in to, using the session you already have. It does not request access to all sites, your browsing history, your cookies, or network interception. The complete permission list is storage, alarms, tabs, scripting, notifications and identity, plus access to mail.google.com and www.mailmymail.io. Nothing else. We never see your Google password, and cannot reach your account while your browser is closed. LIMITS, STATED PLAINLY Google caps your sending, and we cannot change that. Gmail allows roughly 500 recipients a day on a personal account and 2,000 on Workspace. Mail goes out through your own account, so those are the real ceilings. We default well below them. Gmail needs to be open. Sending happens in your browser, through your own Gmail session. Close every Gmail tab and the campaign pauses until you open one again. Reply tracking is good, not perfect. We check for replies every couple of minutes rather than instantly. If tracking cannot run, follow-ups pause automatically — we would rather send late than email someone who already wrote back. This is a mail-merge tool, not a cold-email platform. There is no email finder and no scraper, and there will not be one. Campaigns stop automatically if bounces climb, because a bad list damages your account, not ours. BUILT TO PROTECT YOUR ACCOUNT Conservative daily caps, a warm-up ramp for new senders, business-hours sending, and an automatic stop if bounces climb. Unsubscribes and bounced addresses are suppressed permanently, and checked both when you import a list and again at the moment of sending. Automating Gmail for bulk sending carries real risk to your Google account, and that risk lands on you rather than on us. For large campaigns, consider a secondary account.
