Overview

Unsubscribe from mailing lists in one click and delete spam from your Gmail inbox. Private: no servers.

MailDefender finds the mailing lists filling your Gmail inbox, unsubscribes you in bulk, and shows you exactly what worked. HOW IT WORKS 1. Connect your Gmail account. 2. Click "Scan for mailing lists" to see every sender that offers an unsubscribe option. 3. Tick the ones you want gone and click Unsubscribe. 4. MailDefender opens each unsubscribe page in the background, reads it, and sorts the result: ✅ Passed: the page confirmed you're unsubscribed ➡️ Needs a manual step: the page wants a click or your email address, so you finish it yourself ⚠️ Failed: the link is broken or expired FEATURES - Bulk unsubscribe: works through your list in the background, 3 pages at a time. You can close the popup and come back later. - Results you can trust: a sender is only marked "passed" when its own page says you're unsubscribed. - Results tab: every outcome is saved. Open the pages that need a manual step, retry the failed ones, and mark things done. - Banner inside Gmail: open a newsletter and see Unsubscribe and Delete buttons right under the subject line. - Delete all emails from a sender, or from many senders at once. - Clean your Spam folder in one click. - Multiple Gmail accounts. - Search your mailing lists and review your unsubscribe history, with Undo. PRIVACY - No servers, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays in your browser. - MailDefender reads only the sender and unsubscribe headers of your emails, not what's inside them. - It talks only to Google's Gmail API and to the unsubscribe pages the senders put in their own emails. - Nothing is ever permanently deleted. Deleted emails go to Trash, where Gmail keeps them for 30 days. WHY IT ASKS FOR PERMISSIONS - Gmail access: to find mailing lists, move emails to Trash, and send an unsubscribe email when a sender only offers that option. - Access to websites: unsubscribe pages live on each sender's own website, so MailDefender has to open and read them. It uses this only to check whether unsubscribing worked. GOOD TO KNOW - "Passed" means the sender's page said you were unsubscribed. Some senders take a few days to stop. - Senders that only offer an unsubscribe email can't be checked, so those are marked as sent. - Page detection currently works for English-language pages.
