Scientific name: Magnolia × soulangeana (most common hybrid Magnolia) Flowers: Large, with 6–12 petals, white, pale pink or pale purple. Flowers usually bloom in early spring before the leaves grow, creating a flower-covered effect on the branches. Leaves: Large, dark green, oval, grow after the flowers fade. Height: Mature trees can be 3–6 meters tall, but the photo shows a young tree. Originally from East Asia (China, Japan) and North America. Very popular in parks and gardens in temperate and subtropical countries thanks to their elegant beauty and pleasant scent.
