Magnetar Guardian Stay focused, stay safe, stay in control. Magnetar Guardian is a local browser protection extension that helps you decide what the web is allowed to put in front of you. Pick the categories you want to keep out of your day, including adult content, gambling, social sites, dating, drugs, violence, anonymising proxies, phishing, malware, and scams, and Guardian blocks them at the network level before pages start loading. SafeSearch is enforced automatically on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and YouTube, so the protection extends to search results as well as direct navigation. A PIN-locked dashboard protects every setting, category toggle, and site allowance. When you need a trusted exception, the new unified Guardian toolbar handles it cleanly. Unlock with your PIN, and a persistent temporary-access toolbar appears, stays visible across navigation, and can be dragged anywhere on the page without being lost off-screen. Page clicks outside the toolbar pass through normally, so browsing continues uninterrupted. When you are done, one tap resumes protection. Version 2.0.0 is a major interface and behaviour update focused on a calmer, clearer, more consistent experience. The blocked page has been redesigned with better information about the site, the reason, the status, review actions, coverage, and recent activity. Search keyword protection now respects your category settings, so turning a category off also turns off the matching keyword filters. The expanded toolbar uses a cleaner three-column layout, recent activity is limited to the last four limited sites, and the protection wording has been refined throughout. Privacy and security Guardian is built to stay out of your business. No analytics, no tracking scripts, no accounts, no remote logging, no browsing-history upload. Settings, statistics, review requests, PIN state, and protection state live in your browser only. Your PIN is stored as a secure hash, never in plain text. Filtering logic and rules are bundled with the extension, so no remote code is loaded or executed.
