Magic Downloader is the browser companion for the free Magic Downloader desktop app — a fast, multi-connection download manager for Windows. WHAT IT DOES • Detects the video on the page you're watching and offers every quality/format — 1080p MP4, 720p, audio-only and more — downloaded and merged by the app. • Adds a "⬇ Download" button right on <video> players, with a badge showing how many videos it found. • Sniffs streaming video (HLS .m3u8, DASH .mpd) and direct files (.mp4/.webm/.mp3…) from the page. • Right-click any link → "Download with Magic Downloader." • Optionally takes over normal browser downloads for multi-connection speed. YOU'RE IN CONTROL • The extension talks only to the Magic Downloader app on your own computer (http://127.0.0.1:7373). Nothing goes to any server we run — we have none. • Cookies are OFF by default. They're read only if you turn on "Send my login cookies," which asks the browser's permission first (needed only for logged-in downloads). • It never touches your browser's own downloads unless you turn on capture.
