Overview

Split audio between left and right ears, or fix videos that only play in one ear. Per-tab control, works on any site.

Control which ear your audio plays in — per tab, in real time. FIX ONE-EAR AUDIO Some videos are mastered with sound on only one channel. If you have ever watched something where the audio is stuck in your left ear, one click puts it back in both. SPLIT TWO TABS BETWEEN TWO EARS Snap one window to the left half of your screen and another to the right, and each one's audio moves to the matching ear. Watch a game in one ear and a stream in the other, on a single pair of headphones. LOCK A TAB TO ONE EAR Or set it manually. Left ear, right ear, per tab, ignoring window position entirely. ALSO INCLUDED • Swap left and right channels — for reversed audio, or headphones worn the other way round • Volume trim per tab, including boost above 100% • Clear every override across all tabs at once BUILT FOR SINGLE-SIDED HEARING If you have hearing loss in one ear, this routes everything to the ear you actually use, on any site, without touching your system settings. PRIVACY All processing happens on your device using your browser's built-in audio engine. No audio is recorded or uploaded. No browsing history is read. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no network requests of any kind. WHERE IT WORKS Most sites that play video through an ordinary player: video hosting sites, social feeds, news sites, embedded players, and local video files opened in the browser. WHERE IT DOES NOT — worth reading before you install On these your audio keeps playing completely normally. The extension recognises them and steps aside rather than interfering. • Paid streaming services that use copy protection Chrome blocks every extension from touching protected audio. This is a browser security rule, not something any extension can work around. • Some video hosts that deliver media from a separate server Browsers do not allow extensions to read audio served this way. Playback is unaffected, it simply cannot be split. • Music streaming platforms and most browser games These build sound directly in code rather than using an ordinary video or audio player, so there is nothing for an extension to attach to. This is built for video. • Video calling apps Live call audio works differently and is not supported. When a site cannot be split, the popup says so plainly instead of pretending to work. WORTH KNOWING If you still hear something faintly in the muted ear, check your system's spatial sound setting and its mono audio accessibility option. Both deliberately send all sound to both ears. Most headphones also leak a little between sides. The extension itself silences the channel completely.
