Fill web forms from saved fields, templates or a PDF. Handles drop-downs, tick boxes and dates, across one tab or many.

## Detailed description Type a client's details once, then put them into every carrier portal you use. Mackenzie Autofill keeps your information in named sections and sub-sections, and fills it into whatever the site in front of you is built from — plain text boxes, drop-downs, radio buttons, tick boxes, date pickers, and the custom widgets that quoting portals are made of. **Fills more than plain text boxes** - Drop-downs are matched on the option wording, not the code behind it, so "Arizona" finds Arizona however the list is built. Custom drop-downs that are not real select boxes are opened, read and clicked the way a person would. - Date boxes get the format they demand. Type 8/26/2026, 26 August 2026, or today+30 — the right shape goes in, whether the box wants yyyy-mm-dd or dd/mm/yyyy. - Radio buttons and tick boxes are matched by their printed wording. List several choices separated by commas and each one is ticked. - Field names do not have to match. Street finds Address, Zip finds Postal Code, Phone finds Telephone, and a typo still lands. **Build a submission from a PDF** Drop an application PDF onto the extension and it reads what is filled in. Fillable forms are read from their form data exactly; printed or exported questionnaires are read from the page, including bulleted answers, multi-line addresses and tables. What it finds is arranged into a working layout — insured details, homes, valuable articles, vehicles, personal excess — with a sub-section per person, per home and per vehicle. Addresses are split into street, city, state and ZIP; a vehicle is split into year, make, model and VIN. Anything that does not fit the layout is kept rather than dropped. **Built for repeat work** - Save any layout as a template, then load it, add to it, rename it or delete it. - Sections and sub-sections have their own on/off switches, and fold away when you want them out of the way. - Fill every open tab at once when the same submission goes to several markets. - Follow a pencil or edit icon into whatever it opens — a pop-up panel, a new page or a new tab — and fill that too. - Clear your saved values or the page's own fields with two clicks, with undo. - Produce a Word summary of everything on file. **When something does not fill** Every field that misses is listed with the reason: the option wording the page actually offers, the tick boxes it can see, or that nothing matched the name. A diagnostics file reports what the extension found on the page, control by control. **Your information stays on your computer.** The extension has no server, makes no network requests, and sends nothing anywhere. Everything you type, and every PDF you drop in, is read and stored locally in your browser. --- ## Review form answers ### Single purpose Filling web forms on insurance carrier portals with information the user has entered or imported from a PDF. ### Permission justifications **activeTab** Reads and fills the form on the page the user is currently viewing, only when the user presses a button in the extension popup. **scripting** Injects the fill routine into the page so it can find form controls and enter the user's saved values. The script is bundled with the extension; no remote code is executed. **storage** Saves the user's own field layouts, values and templates locally in the browser. Nothing is transmitted. **tabs** Lists the open tabs in the current window so the same information can be filled into several carrier portals at once, and detects a new tab opened by a page's edit button. **Host permissions (http://\*/\*, https://\*/\*)** The extension fills forms on insurance carrier portals. These are numerous and differ by user and agency, so a fixed list of sites is not workable. Access is used only when the user presses a button in the popup. No browsing data is collected, stored or sent. ### Are you using remote code? No. All JavaScript is bundled in the package. The Mozilla pdf.js library is included as a local file and its worker is loaded from the extension's own directory, with eval support switched off. The extension makes no network requests and executes no code from any remote source. ### Data usage Nothing is collected. The extension stores the user's own entries in local browser storage and sends no data to any server. It has no back end. --- ## Notes before you publish 1. **The producer name is hardcoded.** A PDF import fills in "Mackenzie Mackie" as the producer. Fine for your own use; it needs to become a setting before anyone else installs this. 2. **The broad host permission draws the most scrutiny.** If you only use a handful of portals, listing them explicitly gets a smoother review: `"host_permissions": ["https://*.purehnw.com/*", "https://cincilink.cinfin.com/*"]` The cost is editing the manifest whenever you add a carrier. 3. **activeTab is now redundant** — the broad host permissions already cover the current tab. Dropping it is one fewer permission to justify. 4. **Consider unlisted distribution.** If this is for you and your colleagues rather than the public, an unlisted listing skips the discovery review while still giving you a normal install link and automatic updates. 5. **A screenshot is required** (1280x800 or 640x400). The popup with a couple of sections filled in, or the notes area after a fill, shows the point of it quickly.
